This is just a short but very loud “thank you” to Teradata for sponsoring SmartDataCollective for three-and-a-half wonderful, fruitful, conversation years. The great folks there took a real chance in 2008 on a very young company with a barely-proven concept: that gathering up the best independent thinkers in the world who were thinking about data and its implications for business would prove valuable for its thought leaders, its customers and for the company itself.

What we achieved in partnership with Teradata was remarkable. We built a site which, although niche, attracted 600,000 visits, 400,000 visitors, and nearly a million page views. Just in the last year, the site has grown by 50%. We created some superb webinars and original content with global thought leaders in data like James Taylor, Jill Dyche, Gary Cokins, Themos Kalafatis, Stephen Baker and Teradatas’ own Paul Barsch.
We’re planning to open this site up for multiple campaigns and advertisers, and have plans in the works to integrate it more closely with our “mother ship,” Social Media Today. Feel free to contact me if you have questions about this. But in the meantime, we can’t thank Teradata and all the great people there enough.
