Panthera also mentions a new offering that they describe as being a secure and compliant method to provisioning new servers within the cloud.
J. Todd Jennings is the President and CEO of Panthera. In his company’s press release, Jenning is quoted as saying, “In order to succeed today, businesses must be agile and responsive, and cloud-enabled technologies fulfill those needs.” Jennings goes on to stress the importance of his offering by saying, “With the ability to quickly provision virtual desktops that provide any-time, anywhere access for a mobile workforce, plus the assurance that mission-critical data is protected and available should a disaster occur, companies can focus on their business rather than worrying about technology.”
Panthera goes on to explain that their desktop as a service offerings will be run using VMware Horizon. Panthera mentions that its cloud is protected using an offering from Veeam Software. The release goes on to say that Panthera uses Cisco/NetApp Flexpod hardware that helps keep organizations compliant.
Panthera’s Disaster Recovery as a Service offering is explained as “This secure, reliable cloud technology is the backbone of vStream™, a real-time, cloud-based disaster recovery solution, powered by Zerto. Leveraging VMware’s leading-edge Hypervisor technology, vStream uses a secure, encrypted connection to continuously replicate data to the cloud, ensuring that should a company’s physical location be damaged, the business can continue operations.” The PR department goes on to explain that “The company will offer backup as a service powered by Veeam. The service, which includes backup to the cloud, eliminates the capital cost of hardware and software for backup while meeting compliance and security mandates in fields such as healthcare, financial services and e-commerce.”
