This is a directory of Chief Technology Officers. It is built with Floxee (they are graciously letting me use their capability as a beta user).
I decided to build this Twittering CTO directory for several reasons, including:
1) Testing out Floxee. They have a great capability and have plans to continue rolling out new capabilities and this is a great way to learn.
2) Greedily building my own dynamically updated reference into the thoughts of the twittering CTO. This has already turned into a good reference that I enjoy learning from throughout the day. I follow many people on Twitter but sometimes there is just too much traffic there for me to focus in on technology topics, so I thought a list like this could help me find technology info others are posting or pointing to.
3) Sharing a reference/resource of use to the CTO community. This easy to configure list might be of use to you and others.

The main page at http://ctolist.com shows a column called the Tweetstream. These are the most recent Tweets of people being followed by @ctolist. There is also a column titled Community. That is made up of Tweets that contain search terms that I control. On the right hand side there are facets for trending topics, for photos that have been referenced by the CTO s on the list, and videos mentioned by CTO s on the list. Several facets of statistics are also mentioned elsewhere on this page and throughout the site.
Near the top of the page is a menu bar. You can navigate to the tab marked “List.” That contains the full list, and from there you can click on individual names to learn a bit more about them and decide if you want to “follow” them.
You can also evaluate the stats page to help you make a decision on whether or not you should follow someone. There are stats for most followers in the last week and month, plus facets of several other statistics. In each case you can drill down for more info and can follow anyone right from the list.
On the individual stats pages for each person on the list there is a retweet button. Clicking on that will pre
If you know of CTOs or other senior enterprise technologists who are active on Twitter and think they might belong on this list, please let me know their Twitter IT. One easy way for you to do that is to sent a tweet with @CTOlist in the body of the tweet. It would be good if you followed me there at @CTOlist as well.
Please let me know any feedback you have on the site’s utility. I’ll pass that along to the nice folks at Floxee.
So, if you are an enterprise technologist please visit CTOlist.com and check it out.
Cheers,
Bob
