What a week. As if snow arriving here in North Carolina was not enough to mark the week, we’ve witnessed the historical inauguration of President Obama to his new office. It is a sign of the times that healthcare technology — not just healthcare, mind you, but the role that technology should play — actually makes it into an inaugural address. With healthcare policy and funding proposals for the new administration circulating many weeks before Obama entering office, the pace of things certainly seems to be picking up. And has anyone else noticed that the media had countless photographs of Obama looking highly "presidential" before the inauguration even happened? I knew we were in for interesting times when the commemorative Obama plates showed up in infomercials just in time for Christmas. No pressure, Mr. President.
