Ian's first foray into Business Intelligence was back in 1983 when asked to develop a new customs reporting solution for Dow Chemical in Rotterdam. His report designs were used by Dutch Customs as examples for other companies to follow.
Following a long career in software development, he made the switch to BI sales in 2001, where his business understanding and empathy has earned the trust and loyalty of many long-standing customers.
Since then he has focused on selling Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing and Performance Management solutions in Australia, working for partners of organisations like IBM Cognos, SAP Business Objects, Hyperion, Tableau, Yellowfin, WhereScape, Maxiplan and BIReady.
When he's not evangelising Business Intelligence or Performance Management solutions, he teaches short film making at the Australian Cinematographers Society (www.sydneyshortfilmschool.com), and shoots the occasional music video or corporate video through his video marketing and production company, Hyperdriven Pictures www.hyperdriven.com.au).
You can see his incredibly brief appearance alongside Hugh Jackman in the blockbuster movie 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine'.
