David is responsible for the research direction of information technologies at Ventana Research covering including Analytics, Business Intelligence and Information Management. David is also responsible for examining the role of cloud computing, collaboration and mobile technologies as they affect these areas. David brings to Ventana Research over two decades of experience, through which he has marketed and brought to market some of the leading edge technologies for helping organizations analyze data to support a range of action-taking and decision-making processes. Prior to joining Ventana Research, David was the VP of Marketing and Product Management at Vertica Systems, one of the leading vendors of scalable analytical database technologies. Previously he helped create over half a billion dollars of shareholder value while serving as VP of Marketing and Product Management at Oracle, Applix, InforSense and IRI Software with more than 25 years of experience. David’s articles have been published in numerous trade magazines ranging from the Business Intelligence Journal to BPM Magazine and he has spoken frequently at IT industry events.
